Default Resolution issue

I am having a problem with the resolution of a monitor using the DisplayLink technology. The device is from StarTech and is the USB32DPPRO which looks like it uses the DL3500.

I had an HP ZR30W monitor and was able to display at 2560x1600 with the USB32DPPRO. I have gotten a new monitor, a HP Z30i which can be driven at 2560x1600, however when connecting to the same USB32DPPRO the maximum resolution is only 1920x1200.

I have updated both the USB3.0 drivers from Intel and have the latest DisplayLink drivers from the DisplayLink webpage.

Any ides why I can use a higher resolution with an older monitor, but the newer one is limited?

thanks

I think I have that issu too...

I'm using tagus USB 3.0 Dual Video dockin station and cannot set higher resolution then 1920*1200.
Docking is Attached to a Surface Pro 2 and my monitor is a Fujitsu P27T-6 IPS.
Latest drivers is used. Any pointers?

Cheers,

Øyvind

Hi,

You'll need a dock with a DisplayPort output to support the native resolution of your monitor. See http://www.displaylink.com/shop/docks for details of which docks have the DisplayPort output.

Thanks,
James

Hi,

Apologies for the delay in replying.

I've raised this internally for further investigation.

Thanks,
James

Hi,

Can we get the logs from when the Z30i is attached?

Please send them to the same address as before.

Thanks,
James

James,
it appears that the new drivers did not address the resolution issue.
I had un-installed and re-installed the new drivers. the resolution remains max of 1920x1200.
I have collected the log files and submitted them.
