Corrupted Menu in Windows 8/8.1
Hello,
I have a 7" USB monitor that uses the DisplayLink software and when I had Windows 7 x64 I had no problems. When I switched to Windows 8 (and the updated drivers had come out) I started to experience corrupted right-click menus and mouse hovering pop-ups (see attached images). It seems to be the same problem shown in these two threads: "Windows 8 + nVidia + Samsung UbiSync 7 + Battlefield 3" and "Artefacts on desktop". - If I start the computer from a complete shutdown state or have restarted the computer and NOT turned on the USB monitor the problem doesn't occur. - Once the USB monitor has been turned on the problem happens randomly. Even if I turn off the USB monitor the problem will persist until I restart/shutdown the computer. As far as I can tell the right-click menu corruption only seems to happen in Windows Explorer (folders, taskbar, etc). The mouse-hover pop-up happened while browsing these forums in Firefox. My support logs are also attached. Is there anything that can be done? Regards. |
