Default SMSC drivers . . . somewhere

I'm trying to install display link but i can't find what ever it is I need to uninstall. I tried running the compatibility software to create the log, but I couldn't find the folder in program files.

So the DisplayLink System Compatibility Check tool keeps failing saying there is SMSC software on my comp.

The DisplayLink Support tool says that everything is fine and it passes all it's tests. I've attached a copy of the logs it produces.

Hi,

It sounds like you have already run the Compatibility check tool but to be sure can you download it and run it again? You can find it here http://displaylink.com/support/sla.php?fileid=111

When you run the tool it will generate a file called DlCompatCheck.log in the C:\Program Files\DisplayLink Core Software\Debug\ directory. Please attach this file to this post.

Once I see this file I will be able to advise you how to remove the SMSC software.

Thanks,
James
