Default Mouse and Keyboard not working

I tried using a Targus ACP71UAZ docking station. The network and video both worked, but I got no response from the mouse or keyboard. The mouse didn't have any light on the bottom.

I tried 3 other docking stations of the same model with the same result, so I know it's not a problem with the docking stations.

I have Windows 7 sp.1 running on a HP P640. After initial problems, I installed v.7.4 of the drivers and restarted with same result. Then tried v.7.7 of the driver with same result.

I installed the DisplayLink Support Tool and it shows "Pass: Compatibility check reported no errors."

Also, created a support log, but not sure what I do with the log. Looked through some of the the files, but didn't see anything. Although, don't know what I should be looking for in log files.

Any suggestions to resolve my problem?
Is there anything in the support logs I should be looking for?
