Exclamation Crash between Display driver V5 and IE11

Hi Everyone,

We want to deploy IE11 on our company and discovered that when some users with IE11 want to print, IE11 crash.
After some investigation with Microsoft they alert us about incompatibility with a componant from Displaylink drivers v5.

We did a test, remove driver and cable and all works fine again.

We test to do an upgrade from V5 to V7 but we discovered that it put our test computer out of domain so we can't apply it.
It seems that something from V5 did not uninstall properly.

We did a test on a fresh computer with V7 only and all works fine.

Did you already saw that kind of issue and do you know how we can solve it quickly without remove all drivers and cable from more than 280 users ?
And of course option to rebuild these computers is not a good one.

let me known if you need more details or information.

Thx by advance for your support.

Hi Ronan,

Can you let me know how you upgraded the drivers?

An upgrade should work, I've never heard of it knock you out the domain though. Did it actually leave you de-registered from the domain or simply logged off?

Thanks,
James

Hi James,

we did on 2 differents way and we had same bahavior each time :

- uninstall V5 then install V7
- Install V7 directly on V5

it's de-registered from the domain which is really weird.
