Display link Aero support

i appreciate this has been somewhat mentioned elswhere http://www.displaylink.org/forum/showthread.php?t=124
however i am unsure how to force the driver install. i have tried all windows 7 versions of the driver software with no luck. it would seem the driver install process stop the DWM.exe process in task manager. restarting the desktop manager service doesnt help. stopping the displaylink service and then restarting dwm does seem to work but without the second display working.

anyone got any thoughts??
