Unhappy Lenovo USB 3.0 Dock and HP ZR2740w

I need some help here. I recently got a Lenovo USB 3 dock. I got it all working except the video. I can get output, but it is at very low resolution and windows 8 will not let me change the resolution, it is grayed out. I have the latest version of displaylink software, 7.03.

After researching this for some time, I found some language on an HP forum that says this monitor has to connect with DVI-D and a DVI-D cable (which is supplied in box) I am using the supplied cable and connecting to the upper DVI port on the Lenovo USB dock that the manual labels as DVI-D. I try to tweak the video setting through the windows and displaylink software and I dont get anywhere.

It appears that HP suggests this to be a video driver issue. Is there any fix for this or some sort of newer beta driver that I can try. I really want to be able to use this nice 27 inch monitor.
