Asus MB168B and Dell Lattitude e7470
Good Afternoon
We have quite a few Asus MB168B USB 3.0 screens that we have made use of for sometime on earlier versions on Windows 10 and Windows 8.1. After upgrading to the Anniversary edition and Creators update of Windows 10 (RS 1 and RS2) these screens have not displayed on the Dell Lattitude e7470 laptops. These screens display perfectly on the other two models we have in our fleet( e7440 and e7450), but on the e7470 it just displays an image indicating the screen is powered but not being seen by the actual OS. I have downloaded the latest DisplayLink drivers from your site and the Asus site. I have also logged a call with our local Asus support which was no help. Any assistance in this issue would be appreciated. Kind Regards S |

Hello,
There can be several reasons to this. Have you had a look in Device Manager to see if the device is recognised? If so, the display may take a couple of minutes to update its firmware before the desktop is displayed. Should Windows report the product as connected, I would recommend leaving it be for 5 minutes. It takes much less time, but, if you default to lower USB speed or there is something else going on, I would like to have enough padding. Then, should the issue persist, the third link in my forum signature indicates how to gather the logs necessary to look into exactly what is taking place in your case. Kind regards, Alban
