Default DisplayLink device disables USB ports

Hello,

I just got my DisplayLink device and am trying to run it on a Windows 8 Dell Inspiron 15R Limited Edition PC. I installed the latest drivers and everything. But every time I connect the DisplayLink USB 3.0 docking station to any of my 3.0 USB ports on my laptop, it immediately disables all of my USB ports The message I get for my USB Root Hub (xHCI) is "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43) The USB hub failed to reset." This happens every time I plug it directly into one of my USB ports.

The DisplayLink device does not show up in my device manager at all. However, all services for the device are running on my computer.

I cannot run the diagnostics tool properly since it says that the device is not connected, even though it is.

What should I do?

Thanks!
