doesn't work with Dell U2312HM
I have a Dell U2312HM, IOGear GUC2020DW6 and a Macbook Air. I tried displaylink drivers 1.7, 1.8, and 2.0 beta 1.
The only one that kind of works is 1.8. The screen will stay on for a few seconds, and then turn off. Stay on for a few seconds, turn off. It's a cycle for about 5 minutes and then the monitor goes into standby mode. I know the monitor works because I plugged it into a DVI -> Thunderbolt and it works flawlessly. Any idea? I know the Dell monitors have HDCP - could that have anything to do with it? |

When it turns off, does the display disappear from the OS? I wonder if the DVI signal is not quite strong enough (especially if it is a long cable) and the signal is on the edge...

No, it still recognize that a monitor exists. It shows that it still exists even I don't have the monitor plugged in the DVI, but I have the IOGEAR plugged into the USB.
