Default How to disable HDMI Audio

Hi All,

Having issues with my Dell D3100 displaylink dock (Connected to xps13 9350). When I select USB audio, it defaults to HDMI audio, rather than the audio out port on the back of the dock - i'd like to use some decent speakers rather than the tinny built in speakers in my monitors. There is no option to disable audio on the monitors (Medion MD20165) and the displaylink / Windows 10 software only allows me to shift between the internal audio in the laptop and the USB audio device. Any ideas ?

Hello,

The way Dell designed their dock means you can disable all other audio sources by using the headphone plug at the front. They call that headphone privacy.

Kind regards,
Alban
