Default 4k video adapters using DL-5500?

Are there any video adapters using the new DL-5500 chip set?

Here's the link to an article where I read about it.

I just bought the new Dell 4k monitor and I want to use it with my Dell laptop.

Thanks
Steve

Hi,

We expect the first customer products using this chipset to launch in the next 3 months or so.

Thanks,
James

Default Can it work in reverse?

I have a 4k tv with USB3 and HDMI. Can I use the DL5500 in reverse?

That is, plug the usb3 side into the tv and plug the displayport side into my graphics card?

TV is running android, not sure if it will need some software installed.

Default Interest As Well

I would like to know about any existing commercially available applications of the chipset as well; either for USB-3 to 4k, or for Wireless application.

I-O Data from Japan is now selling its 4K-USB 3.0 adapter through amazon.co.jp. The problem from anybody not living in Japan or not having friends in Japan where this adapter can be mailed are denied the sales of this adapter as amazon.co.jp does not ship this adapter to anywhere outside of Japan.

http://www.amazon.co.jp/DATA-4K%E5%A...ds=USB-4K%2FDP

Is there any information when this adapter will be available outside Japan e.g. in Germany or is any information available of any other adapter als using the DL-5X00 chips for an USB 3.0 to Displayport adapter with full 4K resolution.

The promised 3 months period of the previous post is long due!

Default USB 3.0 to 4K for purchase in USA

James-
Are any of the USB 3.0 to 4K devices available for purchase in the US? The Club3D product seems to primarily be targeted to outside the US... they list Newegg as a vendor, but Newegg does not currently carry the CSV-2302 Club3D 4K device.

--edit--
Even better, I read that the DL-5700 is now in production which adds audio and Gigabit Ethernet and is likely to be used in 4K dock solutions... in addition to DL-5500 based products, are there any DL-5700 based products available for order/delivery to the US?
