dl3100 Adapter as main graphics adapter
hello community,
i have bought a usb3.0 graphics adapter with the dl3100 chipset. Due to a lack of drivers i have no hardware acceleration on my mac mini integrated graphics. So i want to use the usb adapter as primary graphics adapter (and as the one and only Monitor). So the decoding of hd videos should be done by the dl3100 instead of the integrated graphics adapter. Is this possible? And how? By now I have installed the 2.4 os x driver and the display is connected to the adapter. But videos and graphics are still calculated/decoded by the integrated graphics chip, not the usb adapter. So its still a jerky thing Im running Yosemite 10.10.5 thank you very much! The D3100 isn't a graphics adaptor and cannot do any rendering by itself

I think there is any DisplayLInk chip which does the e.g. h.264 rendering right? |

I don't believe so - In my understanding, DisplayLink means that all rendering / processing is done on the host CPU and can then be pushed over USB
