Default HDMI audio without video?

Hi,

I looked through the forums and support information but wasn't able to find any information on this. Does the DisplayLink Windows software support HDMI audio output without using HDMI video on the same port? I.e. sending HDMI audio over a black burst without mirroring or extending the desktop?

Hello,

There is no option to activate with a black signal or just blanked. Audio isn't controlled separately from video as it would be a nightmare with docking stations having 4 video outputs + headphone + line out. There are also additional consequences on usability because of Windows asking to choose 1 output.

OEMs have even asked us to send back audio to the computer when all extended displays are disabled (analogue audio still being on the docking station).

Kind regards,
Alban
