Question Why does DisplayLink automatically quit on my Mac?

Hello everyone, I recently noticed a strange issue where my DisplayLink automatically quits after running for about 10 minutes. This has never happened before. I couldn't find any relevant buttons in the DisplayLink app settings, and I haven't found any related information in the forums either.

Anyone have some throughts about this issue? Thanks in advance!

MacBook Air (8GB)
Macintosh HD, Apple M2, 14.0 (23A344)

If you have not do so already, I would suggest reporting the issue to DisplayLink directly by following the process outlined here --> https://support.displaylink.com/know...to-displaylink

I plan to take the COA recommended in the reply to your post, but wanted to let you know you weren't alone. I'm having the same issue today. By chance did you update your drivers prior to this issue starting?

Hi,

I am having the exact same issue on a similar spec Mac

13" M2 Pro - Mac OS 14.0
2 Monitors (plus Mac)

The DisplayLink app just quits unexpectedly and I need to reboot the application to get monitors back up

It started in the last couple of weeks and is causing issues as it happens during work teams calls etc.

Any help appreciated.

It is definitely a software or os issue. It's not a misconfiguration of the app.

I keep having crashes too constantly. Sometimes it takes 10 minutes to crash and sometimes only 2. But the crash will come eventually.

It works instantly again when you restart the app.

I encountered similar issues in v1.10. Downgrading to v1.9. helped. See my thread https://www.displaylink.org/forum/sh...ad.php?t=69068

To reiterate what I have said previously within this thread, for anyone experiencing unexpected behavior using DisplayLink Manager version 1.10, if you have not do so already, I would suggest reporting the issue to DisplayLink directly by following the process outlined here --> https://support.displaylink.com/know...to-displaylink
