Angry Problems using latest software with HP 120W Advanced Docking Station

Can't get my HP dock station to operate.... I have a HP Probook 6560b and the HP A7E36UT Advanced Docking Station...

Does anyone know how I can get the DisplayLink latest software to download properly on my notebook.

From the DisplayLink website the software seems to download and it say I have the lastest version but the Manager won't open with no icon visible etc. Plus when I download the Hp Docking software it states that I need to visit DisplayLink for an updated driver.

I heard somewhere online that If I had Windows updates done past 2/26/13 on my HP Probook then the DisplayLink software won't download... Is this true?

From the model number I assume you have this dock:

If so then this is a hard dock and does not contain DisplayLink technology.

Default So is it correct...

So is it correct in saying I don't need software in order to have the dock work properly?

You might need software, but DisplayLink is not in this dock. You should contact HP for support if you are having problems.
