No luck, I connected it to a USB hub w/ an external power supply and it still blinks. In fact, it started blinking after being connected for about 10 minutes.

The device is warm, but not hot.

Is it worth posting a new thread that asks people with Mac OS 10.7 & DL 1.7 to state what hardware they are using and whether or not it is currently working without a problem?

I also cannot get rotation to work with the default mac software, so I am currently using SwitchResX to allow for rotation. (though it blinked even more rotated, so I have unrotated my display.)

A final problem that I've see is that when switching spaces it sometimes goes blank.
your screen will blink if you're in Better Battery life (the nvidia 9400 chipset) versus the better performance (the 9600 chipset) under energy saver in system preferences. I hope this helps you.

My system is using discrete graphics (set to always use and not dynamically switch). And it has the ATI card in it:
AMD Radeon HD 6750M 1024 MB

Btw, I'm only using the external display via DisplayPort at the time, not the internal display.

Is there any more debug information I can collect for you?

So I tried this on a completely virgin Mac OS X 10.7 install and it has the same problems. Blinking after 10 minutes or so of use.

Is there any word on this? Or should I just return it? Wish it worked, because it looks better than the diamond one.

have you tried a different monitor? I sort of remember this right before my monitors power went out. Syncmaster 22bw

Yeah, tried different monitors... all Dell's but a few different models.

At any rate, the Diamond one I got from Fry's works, so I'm going to chalk this one up to a flaky device and return it shortly if no updates fix it soon.
