Default USB3 to DVI on HP EliteBook 2570

Running Windows 7
Installed USB 3 drivers
Compatibility check passed

No display on 3rd monitor at all.

When detecting display
Display:
"Available display output on: Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000"

Multiple Displays:
"No display detected"

Then I chose try to connect anyway on: Composite

Display settings shows 3.Display Device on: Composite

If I choose extend desktop to this display, nothing happens on 3rd monitor.

Same problem with direct, or docking station.

Please help, thanks!

Also, already checked that services were running and not failing to boot correctly. And have tried using full DVI cable, and DVI to VGA cable.

Hi,

Do you get this with all USB ports on your notebook?

Also do you get this with issue with the other VA2232 monitor connected to the adapter?

Thanks,
James

Good news! I uninstalled all the drivers and removed programs from add/remove programs. And reinstalled a little differently and now it works. When I first installed, windows started installing device drivers before I had a chance to install the display link core software.

So this time before plugging the device in I installed the software I downloaded from the site, then plugged device in and windows did the same thing installing the drivers on its own but this time, it worked. For some reason, I couldnt access my D:\ drive the first time I installed so I just let windows do the drivers on its own..

Anyway, thanks for the help. Looking forward to the new setup at work!!
