Default Don't upgrade to BigSur 11.6 or you will lose clamshell support

I've just upgraded OS to Big Sur 11.6 and legacy driver stopped working. I had to install new DisplayLink Manager instead (Release: 1.5 | Sep 8, 2021).

Big mistake!

The problem is that it doesn't support clamshell mode (operating external monitors with notebook lid closed).

Seems like only M1 architecture is supported..

I'd happily move back to legacy driver if it had supported Big Sur 11.6 .. Has anybody got it working?

Hey, DisplayLink devs - when should we expect clamshell support for Intel architecture?

Hello netcarlos,

Thank you for posting on our forum.

We are of course aware of the problem with clamshell mode. Until now, we have tested both Intel and M1 Macbooks on Monterey BETA release and seen this fixed there. I am unable to say about the final release as we will need to verify it but I hope that it will be fully operational when it comes out.

Kind regards,
Jakub
