Default OpenGL not functional with DisplayLink / and what about J5 Create ?

Hello, I'm french so my english may afraid you !!!

I'm looking for a solution to have 3 separates monitors in VGA with my Macbook Pro for a show. The software that I use is Modul8 and it works a lot with the OpenGL of the graphic card. So, is it really dangerous to use DisplayLink technology to have multi monitors ?
And does someone know how the J5-Create works? Does this technology can use the OpenGL of the Graphic card ?

Thanks

Hi Lolo,

I would not say that using DisplayLink or other non OpenGL accelerated screens is dangerous! But depending on your needs it can have compatibility problems and performance can become an issue.
We haven't tried Modul8 so I can't really comment on the specific application, but if you are looking for smooth 60 frames a second 3D or video playback I have to say we're not there yet, especially not on Lion.

But we're working on that!
