Default lilliput on mac, blank display

I saw an older post from march 2011 about this, but there was no resolution.

I've had this lilliput 7" Usb monitor working for several weeks, but then this morning the display got all garbled and I could not get it to show clearly at all. I reseated cables and rebooted and nothing seemed to work, I also tried a usb port on my powerbook rather than the usb port on my thunderbolt display.

I cannot remember which driver I originally installed and at this point I don't know if my monitor is a dud or not.

there are two different drivers that I've been able to find:

http://thinkgeek.com/files/lilliput_...nowleopard.zip
(When I install an error says the driver is for intel-based macs)

http://www.displaylink.com/support/mac_downloads.php
(driver here installs, and usb device powers up, but gets no display (no monitor shows under displays))

Attached is the display link information gathered when the second driver is installed.

I'll have a coworker install this on his pc and see if that works, but I am hoping there is an easy workaround for the OSX issue.

The system profile doesn't show the DisplayLink kernel extension installed in your system. Could you please check if the /System/Library/Extensions/DisplayLinkDriver.kext file is installed on your system? Could you please try to uninstall the driver, repair disk permissions (using DiskUtility) and re-install the 1.7 release driver. Thanks
