h264 directly input
I understand DisplayLink encode video framebuffer at PC side before sending the compressed data to USB DisplayLink device, Is it possible it accept the encoded H264 raw stream directly? this will save CPU loading in the PC(Win/Mac) side.
Thanks Steven |

Hello Steven,
You won't get the crisp text and low latency from DL3 encoding with h264 encoding. Furthermore, we wouldn't be able to continuously adapt the computing power used based on both link and CPU/GPU available bandwidth either with h264, these are the unique features our encoding brings to the table. I am not convinced CPU or GPU is really lacking on any host side today. Even Android phones can achieve DL3 encoding at high resolution, high refresh rate, and they have a most reduced power envelope. I believe you're already in touch with my colleague via email to discuss your particular needs. Kind regards, Alban
