No Install Displaylink on Win7 Pro 64-bit possible
Hello Reader,
After many retries en searching this forum with no result I ask you for tips with my installation problem. I tried 3 different usb2vga adapters based on display link chips. (Startech, ASUS Docking station and HP). I tried different Display link software versions downloaded from the displaylink site. My PC is running Win7 Pro 64-bit with the latest updates. After the start I see the license screen and messages about the core and graphics software. After a while the installation stops not showing any error code or so, no systray icon. When I connect the interface to the USB port I get the message "driver not installed". On Device management I see the interface with the yellow exclamation. On my system several usb to serial port converters are connected. Can you help me with tips? Thank you and regards, Ko Last edited by kappl01; 09-14-2012 at 07:09 PM. |

You need to post the logs when you have the driver installed and the adapter connected so we can see the system state:

Tnx Wim, in the meantime I made a workaround for the problem.
Urgency is low now but I noticed the support tool for later use. bye Ko |
