OSX 10.10 and sd3500v
I am running the latest version of Yosemite and have a Kensington sd3500v. I am currently using the drivers from the Kensington download site and they are a couple of years old. I have two monitors hooked up to my macbook pro.
I am suffering the known problem of the mac not remembering the locations of the monitors, and I get occasional freezes of the display link monitors, otherwise everything works well. I am wondering about updating to the latest drivers from the display link site to see if this improves the situation. Has anyone already tried this? Any success? Or should I stick with the devil I know? |

Hi DavidC,
In general using two years old drivers on Mac seems a high risk strategy... the OS is changing very rapidly. In particular about DisplayLink drivers version 2.4b1 had overall good comments. There are issues in specific configurations but it's easy enough to uninstall in case of issues. Then you could install the 2.3 version but really going further back seems counterproductive.
