Default 2560*1600/ 60Hz (i.e. 30" Monitors)

Is this supported by anything?

In view of: http://www.displaylink.com/support/ticket.php?id=329

which states: "Dual link DVI is not supported by any of DisplayLink's ICs.", presumably the answer is.. nothing?

This is correct. Dual link DVI is not supported, but this resolution would be supported through DisplayPort.

I have a DL-5500 product.
On your Website it's stated that over DVI 2048x1152 would be the highest supported resolution (using a DP++ Adapter). It's also stated, that Dual Link is not supported.

What happens if I use an active DisplayPort to DVI Dual Link Adapter? Would then work a resolution higher than 2048x1152?
In other words, can I create a Dual Link Signal using an active DVI-Adapter, even though its not officially supported?
If not, why not?

Thanks in advance!
