Yes, I am seeing 9-12% constant CPU usage from the DisplayLinkManager process, even when there is no motion, activity or windows on the DL-attached display. I didn't notice this prior to 3.0b2.

Default High CPU Usage

I am also seeing the CPU usage from DisplayLinkManager. It stays about 18-20% most of the time for me. The screen there stays pretty static most of the time as I work mostly on the other screen. But its a 4K display on a 2015 Macbook just to give a level of how much CPU I have to work with and how many pixels are being lit up.

Thumbs up Working Well

Just wanted to make note that since upgrading to the latest 3b2 driver, and the latest Sierra (10.12.3), my DisplayLink adapter is working better than I have ever seen it running (had since Yosemite).

Displaylink usb display:

Product ID: 0x4300
Vendor ID: 0x17e9 (DisplayLink (UK) Ltd.)
Version: 8.14
Serial Number: BOKC360100353
Speed: Up to 480 Mb/sec
Manufacturer: DisplayLink
Location ID: 0x1a124000 / 5
Current Available (mA): 500
Current Required (mA): 500
Extra Operating Current (mA): 0

I am seeing small CPU usage (4-9%) from the DisplayLink process, but I am on an i7 and not really noticing any negatives from it.

Its the first time I have seen smooth rubber banding and scrolling in general through this adapter.

Hi,

A fix for the high CPU issue in idle will be in the final 3.0. Not long to wait...

Thank you so much - new version is definitely the best one ever. I would say "pretty damn good" - of course a few glitches but the smoothest and most usable version in a very long time. Cheers guys

Thumbs up Latest version

Hi folks,

I'm excited to switch from the beta to the final v3 release shortly.

Carlo, will I see the full benefit on Sierra 10.12.1, or do I need to upgrade my OS as well?

Thank you,
Simon
