Unhappy Quartz Extreme/GL/Composer or Hardware Acceleration in any future update?

Hello There,

I was wondering if any of the future updates will include hardware acceleration for our Macs?

Any ideas? solutions? or Any workaround from DisplayLink?

We'd love to provide this functionality and are looking at every opportunity to do so. Unfortunately we cannot see a viable solution yet but have ideas that we continue to pursue.

As there is only software on the host computer, there is no additional hardware we add for acceleration. But we do have clever tricks for using hardware already in the computer. We do this on Windows today, which is how we do all the aero effects, so it is possible. However this is not implemented on the Mac yet.
