So, like a million other users, I was frustrated by the 7.4 series breakage of any recent games on my gaming laptop with nVidia Optimus technology. In my case a GTX 675MX.
You know, the one where the game won't start with the "D3D Device" error. So for months I have been uninstalling the drivers at night, playing (Borderlands 2/Skyrim), then reinstalling in the morning. I saw the 7.5 M0 drivers and jumped on them. Close, no cigar. The games will now run without the error message, but they appear to not use the nVidia adaptor -- they run so slowly as to be unusable. If I uninstall the drivers, everything works fine. So, still broken. But closer. |

Hi,
Sorry for the delay in replying - I'm looking into this now. Can you confirm if the Nvidia GPU is always disabled (in Device manager) or only when playing games? Please attach the logs from this tool: http://www.displaylink.com/support/ticket.php?id=269 Thanks, James |
