Default issue 23431, internal screen blank after resuming from sleep

I just bought my first DisplayLink device to use with my 2015 MacBook Air, and it works pretty okay with small bugs here and there at the moment. The major frustration though, is bug #23431 that found in your release notes.

In 10.12 Sierra, internal screen blank after resuming from sleep with password at wake up set. Disconnect the DisplayLink screen to recover. (23431)
I really don't want to have to fiddle with my USB ports every time I wake up my computer from sleep. So my question is, is this going to be fixed in the next release? Or should I return the adapter while I still can?

If a DisplayLink employee reads this, I also have another side-question. Is it normal for the DisplayLink driver processes to use ~65% (~55% DisplayLinkManager + ~10% DisplayLinkUserAgent) CPU when something like video is playing on the screen? With more static content it stays at a more reasonable few %.

Thanks!
