60 Second Black screen logging onto Macbook Pro after driver install
I have had this issue for a month on one Macbook Pro and only now, on setting up another one, have I discovered that the issue is down to the Displaylink drivers.
So, two 13" Macbook Pro machines. Bound to network, work perfectly fine until you connect them to displaylink USB 3.0 hub (connected to two iiyama monitors and ethernet to network) and install the latest Mac driver(2.5.1) on El Capitan V10.11.6. Start up, log on and a 60 second wait with a black screen and cursor. Note, this has nothing to do with network as it works fine using wireless or a dongle. Note, another Macbook Pro 13" with exactly the same setup (same driver and OS) does not present this problem - only difference is her machine is 2014 and these two new ones are 2015 and 2016 models. Is this is a known issue and can it be fixed? |

Hi GEO,
We have not seen this before, I'd open a bug at support.displaylink.com with the logs - follow the instructions at http://support.displaylink.com/knowl...to-displaylink You can also try to debug the issue yourself looking at the ASL logs just before and after the 60 seconds pause. Cheers, Carlo |
