Manufacturing Test Mode (Basic)
Hi,
As part of an OS update project there are approx 100 devices with DisplayLink screens being upgraded from Ubuntu 18.04 to Ubuntu 22.04. There are 2 models of DisplayLink screen involved, the first model has upgraded correctly and works without any problem. This one shows up in `lsusb` as below Code:
idVendor 0x17e9 DisplayLink idProduct 0xff00 bcdDevice 47.60 iProduct 2 OLC-TOUCH10.1 iSerial 3 1179322TWJANL461743 This is the screen before the update: Code:
idVendor 0x17e9 DisplayLink idProduct 0xff00 bcdDevice 74.37 iProduct 2 OLC-TOUCH10.1 iSerial 3 DSIP293TWJANM200232 Code:
idVendor 0x17e9 DisplayLink idProduct 0xff00 bcdDevice 74.37 iProduct 2 Manufacturing Test Mode (Basic) iSerial 3 DSIP293DL4121-02.A5D.934 Please can you advise how we can recover these broken screens and how we can upgrade without having this issue? |

Hello,
Can you please tell us more about your configuration - also please point us to the exact product you see this issue with - the exact model. Please also tell us how the devices are connected and what version of the DisplayLink driver you are using. Also if you could gather logfiles for further analysis? The instructions to how to go about that are here: https://support.displaylink.com/know...to-displaylink Please post the logfiles as attachment here or send them with a link to this post or brief description directly to our support to technical-enquiries@synaptics.com .
