Default Windows 10

Hi,

When attempting to install the DisplayLink drivers on a Windows 10 machine, using the Windows 8 compatibility option, I get an OS not supported message and the install will not proceed.

I appreciate that Windows 10 is brand new beta software and so on but do we have any idea if and when we will be able to try installing the DisplayLink drivers on it?

I had hoped to use Windows 10 as my daily driver in work but can't really do so without my extra monitor.

Thanks,
Donal

Hi,

You can find the DisplayLink Windows 10 alpha driver here:

Installed fine and seems to be working.

Will add any issues I see to this thread.

Thanks

Hi - no issues so far.

Windows Update is telling me there is a driver update. Is this an essential update or can I wait?

Hi,

I'd advise updating to benefit from the latest build of the DisplayLink driver.

It is however not essential.

Thanks,
James

Default Second monitor not working with recent driver

I was getting BSODs because of the old driver after I upgraded to Windows 10, so I found my way here and installed the driver (the one before the most recent one, actually, and later upgraded on Halloween with the newest one).

The second monitor is not detected.

I'm using an Asus Ultrabook Core i5 attached to either an NEC LCD2070NX or Samsung S24A460 both using DVI to a Targus DisplayLink-certified port replicator. It was working fine with the old RTM driver for Windows 8.1 (except when it caused a kernel panic).

Default Install provlem v7.9

I am using a HP envy and am trying to install v7.9 for windows 10. The install keeps getting interrupted and finishing. What should I do? I did a cleanup of previous drivers and rebooted then tried installing again, but keep getting the same issue.
