Recommendation for 2560x1440?
Currently I have an ASUS UX31 Ultrabook and would like to have a setup with a usb 3.0 port replicator that will support a 2560x1440 monitor, one of the cheap Korean monitors from ebay. The cheapest one is DVI-D only, so that would be preferred as multi-input versions run $50-100 more.
Is there a usb 3.0 port replicator product that will support 2560x1440 through DVI-D? If not, what are the product options for an alternate connection? Is Display Port the only other input that supports 1440p? Do 4K displays have a similar limitation of connector type? Thanks |

Hi,
Please see this FAQ: http://www.displaylink.com/support/ticket.php?id=329 You can drive 2560x1440 over DP or HDMI. Note that HDMI can only drive 2560x1440@50Hz. 2560x1440 over DVI-D is not supported. Cheapest option would be a USB-DP or USB-HDMI adapter. Thanks, James |

i am looking to connect two monitors, one with 1280x1024 and one ultrawide 29 with 2560x1080. How can I achieve that with a docking station? Does Displayport support that and how do I find a product that does too? Thanks, your help is very much appeciated. Have spent quite some time now to find such a thing. Jamesla |
