Default 27" Apple LED Cinema Display has low res when connected to USB32HDPRO

EDIT: QGeeM adapter doesn't support Apple Cinema Displays. This is my problem.

Hello all,

I am a first time poster so I hope I get this right on the first try.

My current environment:
  • M1 MacBook Air running Monterey
  • Mokin USB-C dock for connecting non USB-C tech.
  • StarTech USB32HDPRO for displaying second display
  • QGeem female mini-display to male HDMI adaptor for connecting second display to USB32HDPRO

I recently bought a second (previously owned) 27" Apple LED Cinema Display. When I connect it to my laptop, the resolution sets at 1280x720 instead of 2560x1440 (the native resolution I believe).

The connection setup for the second display is a bit involved.

LED Cinema Display -> QGeem female mini-display to male HDMI adaptor -> female HDMI to Male HDMI extender -> USB32HDPRO -> Mokin Dock -> M1 MBA

I have verified that:
  1. I get the desired resolution if I plug the Cinema Display directly into the M1 MBA through the Mokin Dock (Like the first display)
  2. That at the shortest point where I can use the USB32HDPRO and the display link app the resolution lowers. (LED Cinema Display -> QGeem female mini-display to male HDMI adaptor -> Mokin Dock -> M1 MBA)

I am curious if anyone else has run into anything similar or has an ides I could try to get this up and running.
