Default Question about a multiple screen setup.

Hey guys,

I would like to achieve the following:

Connect 3 screens to my pc, where 1 screen should show my desktop and the other 2 screens should show the same desktop, only as 1 screen.

One more thing which I would like to do is, crop the output on the 2 screens to show only part of it.

Is this possible with DisplayLink, are there alternatives?
(Sorry, I don't know much about this).

I added a picture for clarity.

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

I know what you mean but that is not possible on DisplayLink enabled displays.

Thanks,
James

Default Matrox DualHead2Go

The Matrox DualHead2Go does exactly what you described here. The adapter stretches the desktop across two external monitors while maintaining your main desktop. The caveat is that all system dialogues, such as login screens, appear in the center of the stretched desktop which gets a little annoying at times. However, even if its the only alternative to the DisplayLink device, its doable!

Check out Matrox DualHead2Go...
