Default Serious Lag Time Issue

Hello - Purchased the DisplayLink USB adapter last week to run on a Mid 2010 13" MB Pro, 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo w/4 GB RAM.

The second monitor runs VMWare for a virtual Windows box which has the only function of running a couple programs unavailable for Mac. (Accounting and CRM). The first few days were great but upon logging in this morning the monitor connected to the DisplayLink has lag time that makes the VMWare next to unusable. Safari and other programs seem to work with noticeable, but minimal lag. Running VMWare in the primary monitor connected to the display port runs fine. I would just swap monitors but due to organization and color profiles, the virtual machine must be run on the second monitor.

I have restarted both machines. Swapped USB ports. Uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers but to no avail. No other changes have been made from Friday evening to this morning.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance,

Troy
