Exclamation Display Link does not display video

Hi There,
I have a Dell XPS L702X Laptop running Windows 7 x64 Pro. The laptop includes an NVidia GeForce GT 550M video card running driver version 8.17.12.9053 (12/17/2011). It has 6 gig of RAM, and 4 dual core processors.

The Display Link adaper (a Sabrent DH88) works for some things, but it will not display video on the secondary USB Display. This includes Windows Media Player, Itunes, Flash Videos, etc. I've updated to the latest Display Link driver but all it will display is a black display for *any* video.

I've seen some hints on various forums, that a Display Link adapter will not display any ActiveX display video, but have not found anything definitive. But I find that hard to believe. What would be the point of not supporting ActiveX video? How do I get videos to display on my secondary display link adapter?
