Hello Folks!
I have a Dell Vostro 3401 with Ubuntu 22.04.2 LTS and I'm trying to install DisplayLink driver for DockStation Dell D3100, but with no success. The problem: Missing component: Linux headers for running kernel, 5.14.0-1051-oem Code:
➜ Drivers: sudo ./displaylink-driver-5.7.0-61.129.run Verifying archive integrity... 100% MD5 checksums are OK. All good. Uncompressing DisplayLink Linux Driver 5.7.0-61.129 100% Distribution discovered: Ubuntu 22.04.2 LTS Unsatisfied dependencies. Missing component: Linux headers for running kernel, 5.14.0-1051-oem. This is a fatal error, cannot install DisplayLink Linux Software. - My note: #uname -a Linux Vostro-3401 5.14.0-1051-oem #58-Ubuntu SMP Fri Aug 26 05:50:00 UTC 2022 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux - Headers: #dpkg --get-selections | grep linux-headers linux-headers-5.15.0-73 install linux-headers-5.15.0-73-generic install linux-headers-5.19.0-43-generic install linux-headers-6.3.7-060307 install linux-headers-6.3.7-060307-generic install linux-headers-generic install linux-headers-generic-hwe-22.04 install Has anyone managed to install this D3100 on Ubuntu 22.04.2 LTS? Hi Thiago,
Same here on a Debian 11 machine! Same error message, although all other applications work fine... Hope someone will give us a clue! |
