DisplayLink Manager Autostart Procedure

I have a family member using a Sonnet Dual DisplayPort Adapter on an M1 MacBook Air connected to 2 1080p HP displays. They have found that if they disconnect the adapter (for example, to go work in another location) and come back later, the DisplayLink Manager software will not run, it must be launched manually again.

I know there is a procedure to start DLM automatically when a user logs in to their account - does this setting persist in a situation where you disconnect and reconnect?
