Screen saver issue with v2 & OSX 10.8.4

I've seen many references to issues with screens savers kicking in with older version of both DisplayLink and OSX, most indicating that the issue was addressed in 10.8.2.

I'm on 10.8.4 and DisplayLink v2 and my screen saver kicks in frequently, at random intervals, whether the monitor is attached or not.

Anyone else having this issue? Any ideas on resolving? I certainly don't want to give up my new USB monitor, but this issue is VERY annoying.
