Default No KEXT Installed by 1.6.1 on Monterey 12.3.1 (Intel)

Hi folks,

Our org makes us keep with the latest releases of MacOS, and I've had to jump to Monterey on my 2019 Intel Macbook Pro.

Since making this jump I've upgraded to 1.6.1, and followed various guides trying to determine why my FPS is at 1-5 FPS on my external monitors. Any monitor managed by DisplayLink is horrendously slow. The resolutions are correct, but it's too slow to work on. WebEx also cannot display video on the DisplayLink screens.. only the retina.

After digging and reinstalling the drivers over and over, I cannot seem to get 1.6.1 to even install a KEXT on Monterey, so of course there is nothing to load. I am concluding at this point that this is the source of my woes.

I see no mention of the KEXT not installing on Monterey in the forums. I am using the latest version of DisplayLink I can find. Someone have any ideas here?

Disclaimer: I'm a Linux PC guy, I'm forced to use a Mac for work. I am not overly familiar with troubleshooting kernel module issues on Mac, just Linux.
