Lightbulb Supported Devices: USB32VGAES StarTech

Does anyone know if the StarTech USB32VGAES is supported?

I looked on an amazon comment and it appears to be supported, however, the StarTech website says otherwise.

I've got the product here in my hand and tried testing it out on a macbook air and then macbook pro, both mid-2013 models. I installed the latest mac drivers of Displaylink, restarted my computers, and tried it on my external 27" displays. The VGA cables seem to work on my thunderbolt/vga adapters, so I'm stuck.

I downloaded the Displaylink Information app (also called the support tool) and can't decipher the printout.
