Displaylink 2.3B breaks graphics in 10.10.2 (14C78c)
Hi all,
The beta release of 10.10.2 (currently build 14C78c) breaks a lot of graphics based applications (like VLC, iPhoto, Preview and such). I have raised the issue at Apple. They now of the problems, as my call is closed because it was a duplicate. I now have uninstalled the 2.3b driver of display link, and everything is now in order. Any one else seeing this? You get a CoreAnimation: rendering error 506. Regards, Marc |

As a possible workaround to the issue, try to connect a DisplayLink device to the Mac and to an external display and to restart the affected applications. This seems to partially solve the issue. Preview and iPhoto correctly render their contents.

The graphics problems with the Display Link 2.3b and USB32HDDVII persist with
OS X 10.10.2 (Build 14C81f). Uninstall fixes it. ja |

Have you tested with the newest build 14C81h?
