Could you install the latest Nvidia driver 266.58 and see if the problem continues?

Regards

Hi.

I just installed all the latest drivers and all seem to work ok except for nvidia physx that is disabled on my system.

I believe it has something to do with nvidia's software that is designed to disable physx when it detects another gpu on the same system.
So maybe the nvidia drivers perceive the mimo usb monitor as gpu rather as monitor.
As soon as I disconnect the usb cable, physx is back on and working.

Displaylink should really look into to that and contact nvidia about it.

With regards, Nicholas.

System: GTX580 /266.58driver, mimo UM-710/ DisplayLink-5.5.29194 driver, on windows ultimate 64bit.

Pawel any thoughts on the above post?

Anyone else experiencing the same problem with physx, care to comment?

Is it just me or is this a common problem?

Thanx in advance.

Unhappy Problems with nVidia 267.76 and Displaylink 5.6.30904.0

I updated to the latest versions available as of today and my displaylink device stopped working. Windows 7 64 bit detects the device, but the screen is blank.

Yes, DisplayLink will appear as another GPU to the NVIDIA driver. We are a Virtual Graphics Card, rather than a monitor so any application or driver that is badly written and assumes 1 GPU will behave incorrectly with DisplayLink.

NVIDIA need to fix this, but are unlikely to do it unless they get enough end user pressure. We can ask, but without users raising this with NVIDIA its unlikely to get fixed.

Yep - we're aware of this and reproduced. Currently under investigation to find out what NVIDIA have changed this time. Hopefully we will have a workaround soon.
