Default Lenovo P70/Win7: Bluescreen after Driver Update dlkmd.sys

Yesterday (05.11.2017) I have tried to install the latest Ndivia drivers provided by Lenovo for my P70 notebook. After installing the new driver windows 7 restarted and a bluescreen appeared immediately.

My System:
Lenovo P70
Type 20ER000EGE
Serial-Nr. PC09ENN2
Windows 7 Professional (64-Bit)
Ndivia Quadro M3000M

Driver I have tried to install has the following spec:

Software name NVIDIA Optimus Display Driver
Support models ThinkPad T460s
ThinkPad T560
ThinkPad P50s
ThinkPad P70
Operating System Microsoft Windows 7 64-bit
Refer to marketing materials to find out what computer models
support which Operating Systems.
Versions 22.21.13.8250 (NVIDIA Graphics Driver)
1.3.34.27 (NVIDIA HD Audio Driver)
21.20.16.4678 (Intel Graphics Driver)

I have also tried to download the latest driver from the Nvidia site and installed them. Same issue appeared. Bluescreen with dlkmd.sys

Please help!!

Thanks!

Reza

Hello Reza,
Would you please be able to upload here the ZIP of your log files?
We need them to progress and the last link of my signature explains how to use the tool.
Post them here, only employees can download them.
Regards,
Alban

Hello Alban,

I'm afraid that won't work.
Because after the driver is installed I have to restart windows.
The bluescreen appears druing the restart.
So I have to start windows recovery which recovers the system to a state
before the diagnostic tool was installed actually.
Hence, all logs and the tool are gone.

Do you have any other Idea?

Thank you in advance

Reza

Hello,

How did you work out that the bluescreen data was not present anymore? Did you look for the file?

Without the memory dump file, there is no information about what is the reason for the crash.

Kind regards,
Alban

Bluescreen data are present but the displaylink diagnostic tool which should gather the log is gone.

I can upload the bluescreen data here if it helps.

Which one do you prefer, minidump (601 KB) oder the full memory dump (986.495 KB)?
