Arrow Updated to Sequoia, now usb ports dont work, how to fix?

Hi,

So, I use a hand scanner for work on my Mac, and after updating to Sequoia, thankfully, the displays both still work, but none of the USB ports function. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the software, but I don't see any USB functionality options. I have also tried rebooting, which has fixed things in the past.

I have confirmed this with different USB devices (a hand barcode scanner and multiple USB sticks). These all show up fine plugging into the laptop itself, but that's not why I bought this hub. Is anyone else experiencing this or have a fix?

thanks!

SOLVED! It turned out I just had to power cycle the dock itself and now its working again, oops.

Default Updated to Sequoia - Dock completely not detected

Finally another post on the Sequoia update!

I'm running on a DK31C3HDPD startech adapter, and updating to Sequoia made my M2 MBP 8GB not detect the whole dock anymore.

It'd show the 'allow this accessory to connect' but that message would disappear in 1s before you have time to click 'Allow' (not that clicking it fast enough did anything either)

Your suggestion worked! I didn't expect power cycling to help at all but lo and behold it's working again! thank you for updating your post with the solution!

In your case, performing a power cycle on your dock likely helped reset its internal hardware or firmware, allowing the USB ports to function again as intended.

To Power Cycle, here’s how I did it:
1. Unplugged all connected devices (USB, display, etc.) from the dock.
2. Disconnected the Mac from the power source
3. Wait about 10–15 seconds.
4. Reconnect the dock to the power, and then to the Mac.
5. Connect the display cables back to the dock and test to see if it now works

TYSM again!!

(I also updated the displaylink manager to 1.11 before the above, unsure if it played a role in fixing it tho! https://www.synaptics.com/products/d...ownloads/macos)

Hi to everyone,

I have two Dell D6000 and both have the same issue.
I have tried to unplug everything, restart etc, but the issue still remains.

Yesterday the power cycle helped and USB ports were functional.

Today is a different day, though!

Ethernet and DPs are fine.

Any news/ideas will be apperciated!

I also updated the displaylink manager to 1.11

Default Mouse and keyboard not recognised

I think I have the same issue as others after updating to MacOS Sequoia. I have an M1 MacBook Air connected to a Dell D6000 dock. My external displays still work fine through the dock using DisplayLink, but my mouse and keyboard connected to USB-A ports on the dock struggle to be recognising. I can usually solve the problem eventually by power-cycling the dock, unplugging and re-plugging USB cables etc., but this used to work fine and whether any particular steps work to resolve it each time seems completely unpredictable. Is there a software update to fix this?

Exclamation Same issue

I have the same issue, also with a D6000, also with a M1 Mac (Macbook Pro). Have to unplug and plug back in erratically to make USB accessories work, meanwhile the attached display work flawlessly at all times.

Looks like a D6000 related bug for MacOS?
