Display link worked fine until recently (since I updated to 10.6.6)
Now "Detect displays" just get me an error: "The disk [presumably the adapter] you inserted was not readable by this computer. Ignore Eject" As far as the MB Pro is concerned, there is no displaylink display? worked fine a few weeks ago?? Have uninstalled and reinstalled 1.6b 3 |

But, in my case, I need only to click (in each dialogue) on "Ignore," the message goes away, and everything works fine. That probably isn't helpful in your situation but I thought you'd like to know that the message itself doesn't necessarily mean that DisplayLink won't function. Good luck. |

I would unplug it, reboot, run the uninstaller and verify that everything DisplayLink* is gone from /System/Library/Extensions. Reboot again, install then 1.6b3 drivers then connect it.
What does /var/log/system.log log when you plug the device in? |
