Default Macbook M2 - High CPU 60%+

Hi,

Ive got 2 monitors connected: LG Electronics UHD 4K Monitor 27UN83A-W

Doesnt matter what resolution they're set to, when you do anything in them the cpu shoots up to 60%.

Ive got the latest dock drivers, tried the experimental mode.

But the whole experience is very bad as you can imagine with it using the cpu that high.

Is this known about or anything I can do ?

Im using a macbook pro, Apple M2, 16GB with Venture 13.2.1

thanks Karl.

So, Ive checked multiple monitors now and it seems to be regardless of the resolution you set the monitor at, if the monitor itself is capable of showing anything above 1920x1080 the compression software running on Ventura cannot handle it.

If you use a monitor with a max resolution of 1920x1080 its ok
Use a 4k monitor with resolution set at 1920x1080 and you get the issue.

If you check the resolution the mac thinks the monitors are via displaylink it returns 6016 × 3384 !!!! which is 6k ??

Right now as Im typing this, all I have running is one tab open Chrome with this website and my cpu is around 63% ! crazy.
