ethernet port lost
I struggled with the 2.2 driver badly, so that I eventually gave up on a neat solution to connect my external screens.
However, I'd like to at least use the docking station's LAN port. Unfortunately, I removed it manually from the OS X network settings and it wouldnt pop up again even upon installing the displaylink drivers again. I'm sure this is not a big deal to fix it - if someone could share how to set this up ? Thanks. kermit |

If it's a USB 3.0 dock (even if you're connecting it via USB 2.0) it's probably using ASIX drivers, not DisplayLink's. I don't think the DL drivers drive an Ethernet controller.
Try these. http://plugable.com/products/USB3-E1000/drivers If it's a USB 2.0 dock, don't bother with trying the drivers. I don't know what to do in that case, unfortunately. |

Thanks for the hint, mate! Fortunately, I regained my ethernet port via the default driver set although I tried x times...
