Default Problem with Limited Ethernet

I am using the DisplayLink with a Lenovo carbon X1. My display seems OK, but under my Networks it says under my ethernet connection that it is Limited and it doesn't appear to work at all. I believe this problem started when I upgraded to Win 8.1, but I am not completely sure. I have since run the driver cleaner and installed the latest driver from your site. I am attaching the debug tool output. Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

Hello mrhodes.tessitura,
thank you for contacting us.

Can you let me know if problem you are describing is happening on your dock ehternet interface or laptop's one (wifi or built-in ethernet)?

BR,
Kuba

It's the dock's ethernet I'm having problems with. My laptop doesn't have built in ethernet and the laptop's wifi is working correctly.

Can you confirm if DHCP has occurred? Is the IP address on the interface 169.254.xxx.xxx (i.e. autoip - do DHCP), or something else. If the former then clearly you won't be able to connect to your local network, and something is wrong with the windows stack. Uninstalling and reinstalling the driver sometimes fixes this on Windows 8.

Default same issue

Hi there,
I'm facing the same issue with my docking.
At the beginning the network was working, both on HDCP and fix ip. Now is not working in both cases.
I've tried to connect another external usb ethernet device, and using the same cable everything is working fine.

I'm using DisplayLink on the new DELL XPS 13.

all other devices connected to the dock are working fine.

I've tried 2 times to make a clean install of DisplayLink Manager V7.8.63104.0
Tried also an older version without success.

Any possible solution to advise?

Thanks
regards
